Symbolic Logic Worksheets
A 20-page worksheet pack introducing teens to symbolic logic.
Symbolic logic (also called formal logic) helps us to make sense of complex arguments. It uses symbols to represent ideas and the connections between them. When we learn symbolic logic, we gain the skills to construct rational arguments and evaluate the arguments of others.
These worksheets teach the foundations of symbolic logic by introducing topics such as:
- What an argument is
- How arguments can go wrong
- Types of sentences
- Logical symbols: negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional, biconditional
For a more in-depth introduction to symbolic logic, check out Critikid's interactive, video-based course, Logic for Teens or get the Logic Bundle, which includes one pass to Logic for Teens and this worksheet pack.
