Symbolic logic (also called formal logic) helps us to make sense of complex arguments. It uses symbols to represent ideas and the connections between them. When we learn symbolic logic, we gain the skills to evaluate arguments, as well as to construct our own rational arguments.
These worksheets teach the foundations of symbolic logic by introducing topics such as:
- What an argument is
- How arguments can go wrong
- Types of sentences
- Logical symbols: negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional, biconditional
