Critical Thinking for the Digital Age
Critical Thinking for the Digital Age is a 16-week homeschool course that prepares teens to think critically about what they see online.
Students learn practical ways to navigate the online world responsibly through reading, writing, videos, interactive courses, puzzles, quizzes, and creative projects.
The course is designed for independent work, but many of the topics lend themselves to discussion at home.

Overview
- For: Grades 8-12
- Hours: Self-paced, with no required deadlines. For a one-semester schedule, allow approximately 3–4 hours per week over 16 weeks.
- Credit: ½ high school credit upon completion

- Interactive courses: Complete Critikid's Social Media Simulator, A Statistical Odyssey, and Logic for Teens.
- Brainteasers: Work through logic puzzles and other reasoning challenges.
- Reading: Read articles on critical thinking, media and information literacy, and logical fallacies.
- Writing: Create a data analysis handbook and write a blog post.
- Videos: Watch media literacy videos and answer questions about them.
- Projects: Design a fake pseudoscience ad and create mock social media reels.
