These lesson plans and worksheets are built to accompany A Statistical Odyssey, Critikid’s online course about common mistakes in data analysis.

If you don’t already have the course, you can get Critikid's A Statistical Odyssey Bundle, which includes both a course pass and these worksheets and lesson plans.

What’s included

You’ll get PDFs of everything you need to run 14 classes of about 40 minutes each:

• Lesson Plans: Step-by-step plans for each class with a consistent structure and minimal prep
• Reflection Worksheets: Printable student pages that match each lesson
• Cumulative Assessment: A final test for understanding across the full unit
• Critikid's "Data Analysis Handbook": A short guide to help you learn the concepts before teaching them

What to expect

Each class incorporates two types of learning:

1. Independent work: Students work through a portion of the online course and complete reflection questions
2. Interactive work: Discussion prompts and mini-activities with an adult facilitator

Homeschool note: If you’d like a more independent setup, you can skip the activity portions and still get a lot of value from the course and reflection worksheets.

Classroom Usage

Ideally, each student has their own access to A Statistical Odyssey and a device (with headphones) so they can move through the online component at their own pace. Email me if you'd like me to help you set up a school pass with multi-student access:

If students don't have their own devices, you can run the course by projecting the online lessons onto a screen for the whole class and working through it as a group.
