Two Games Puzzle

Another way to think about this is to consider the probability of losing each game.

Game 1: The probability of not landing on a one through four is 4/6, which we can simplify to 2/3. This is the probability of losing, so the probability of winning is 1/3, or about 33.3%.

Game 2: For each die, the probability of not landing on a six is 5/6. To calculate the chances of neither die landing on a six, multiply these together: (5/6)(5/6) = 25/36. This means the probability of winning is 11/36, or about 30.6%.
